Small boy from Donbass wrote to Grandfather Frost

Hello, Grandfather Frost. My name is Yarik.
I'm in 1 class of Khartsizk city (of Donbass).
And we have great sorrow - the war - very scary and dangerous. Burning houses, factories, mines. Children are killed. No money. We have potatoes and flour.
And a large line is for humanitarian aid.
Children are not soldiers - but they still separatists. I know the poems in Ukrainian and Russian language.

Four Million Ukrainians in Combat Area, on Verge of Humanitarian Catastrophe - Russia

UNITED NATIONS, August 6 (RIA Novosti) - Four million people are in the combat area in eastern Ukraine, and 200,000 of them are deprived of water, Russia’s UN envoy Vitaly Churkin said Tuesday at an emergency UN Security Council session on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine.

‘We just want the war to end’: Refugees flee E. Ukraine turmoil

A small girl with an injured arm, a woman with a baby and a tearful wife wanting to reunite with her husband are among the thousands who have fled war-torn Ukraine. Now the refugees can only pray for peace and want their families to be with them.

“My arm was injured. They have to sew up the wound,” a small girl told RT’s Marina Finoshina, swho was visiting a refugee camp in Russia’s Rostov Region, bordering turbulent Ukraine. The girl was hit in the arm and is now wearing a bandage.

Another refugee from Lugansk Region, a young mother, is holding a baby. Her husband was hit when they were trying to escape the shelling.
